Tiny Beauty

So we went on a scavenger hunt at work today and I found this small scrawny stunted rose bush in the middle of nowhere covered in tiny buds - honestly this thing is only about half the size of my little finger nail sitting on a plain sheet of photocopy paper on my desk.

It's far from a perfect bud ..a little frayed and browning round the edges but I thought it was so cute it deserved it's moment of fame!

apart from that ...dont you just love it when your teenager (who hasnt been home for days) rings you at 6pm to say he'll be home for dinner along with a bunch of mates who also need fed?!?!...good job I learned with his elder brother to keep the pantry chock-a-block full for just such occasions!
