They said it would come

After dodging two major snow storms within the past two weeks (a phenom that's come to be known as the "Washington bubble" -- and yes, it does apply even outside the winter season, but for other reasons I suppose...), we're in for some serious snow now.

It's coming down fast and heavy, the tree branches and powerlines already sagging. The lights have flickered on and off a few times, so the candles are ready and my iPad is charging. Should probably rustle up some dinner while the going is good, but seriously, it's only 5:30pm and I'd like to think I'm not at the 'early bird dinner special' stage yet. Maybe a drink? yes, that would work!
