Gerald

One of my oldest friends who lives in London made a flying visit to Glasgow last night to see his father who is in a nursing home. He took him out for a run today in the car and he popped in to see me before he left for the airport. We'd had a mutual catch-up last night on each other's news and compared the situations when having the responsibility of looking after an elderly relative. We're just at that age now.

Gerald (he's Gerry to everyone except his oldest friends) allowed me to experiment with a portrait shot - he's a bit self conscious when he looks directly at the camera but seemed more natural when he looked out the window.

Good to see him again - and even better to hear that along with another of my two old mates, we might be arranging a boys weekend in Portugal in May :o)
