Living in the City
Tuesday. Class and more class followed by a trip to the bank through the little path that runs round the back of Vic's property into Bloor Street. In fact, Vic is one of the richest colleges of U of T and actually owns whole shops on Bloor Street East, which is all like Lacoste and French Connection and a ton of other extremely fancy ones.
I don't think in Britain they have a slot in the ATM machines for depositing cheques. At least, I'd never seen it and it was pretty exciting doing that.
Eggs bought for my omelette and tictacs for my addiction.
Read my Spanish book for a while before a tutorial that changed times for this week, so I was with a different group of people who were all pretty chatty, which was nice. It feels good reading a whole novel in Spanish. Plus, it's a murder mystery so solving the crime while speaking el espanol is also pretty fun.
Napped after class and then chatted to Emma for quite a few hours as we laboriously made a vegetable omelette that was tasty and yummy and scrummy and good.
Then Mina came knocking and we went to a meeting for the Environmental Fashion Show that I signed up to help with. One job is going to different vintage and second hand stores to buy lots of different outfits and design them into things that can be modelled, in order to reuse and therefore preach sustainability. Sounds amazing. I may even end up modelling!
