A night out

And on a school night too! I tried really hard to ignore the marking that was sitting at home!

We went to see 'Chess' which is touring at the moment. I did the show myself in 2005 but have never actually seen it. This production is directed by Craig Revel Horwood of Strictly Come Dancing fame. It was definitely a different production. There was no orchestra and apart from the keyboard and percussion, who were off stage, all other instruments were played by the cast. Playing the cello at the same time as walking around the stage can't be easy!

Anyway, a very good production once you got used to the instrument thing. Made me remember what a good cast we had including Laura of 'How do you solve a problem like Maria' fame as Florence. (it was her last production before doing the programme.)
