The Artist

I know the Artist of this picture that hangs over my mantelpiece. She is a wonderful warm woman who has had a great impact on my life.

She is my mother.

Tonight we learned at our coaching course about 'self limiting beliefs'. We learned how the greatest obstacle to our dream job or dream life is ourselves. Our aim as coaches is to ask key questions of our clients that will shake them out of those beliefs. I need to ask myself the same questions.

I don't think my mother would have become an artist despite her obvious talent, and if I had followed my dream job when I was 8 or 9 years old, I would be a Singer now.
