Burns Night
January 25th is the birthday of famed Scottish poet Robert Burns, so traditional Scottish food was in order! Haggis, tatties (potatoes), neeps (turnip) and whisky cream sauce. The verdict? Delicious. I don't know what all these Americans are whining about-I loved the haggis!!
So happy birthday Robert Burns, here's a few lines from his poem "Jean," which I like because of my Grandma Jean :)
There's not a bonnie flower that springs
By fountain, shaw, or green;
There's not a bonnie bird that sings,
But minds me o' my Jean.
