Tyred
Very tired today after an evening setting the world to rights. Well, really setting Mr B to rights. He has some funny ideas these days. This morning we had to be up bright and breezy to greet the termite man (not his real name) who came and drilled holes all over our Cabanon (wee stone shed) and injected termite poison. This is another part of the compulsory house sale survey, and quite a sensible one I think.
Icy cold day again. Much of the day, once school was done with, was spent beginning the house search again, in case we find something better than the two current top (flawed) options. Also some work on trying to iron out a proper budget for the mad house we might buy. Those who I have discussed this with, will be delighted to know that Mr B has now accepted that central heating is not a luxury in the winter even in the south of France and it tells me a lot about how much he has fallen in love with the mad house that he is prepared to countenance spending an unimaginable sum on putting an enormous boiler in to heat it. I'm just hoping we will be able to make a decision one day.... We have, at least, come up with a plan that should have the kids back in a proper school within a month or so - which is a big relief.
This is my bike (or it might be Mr B's, I forget). Bikes were one of the first things we bought in France, 13 years ago, on a very big supermarket shop (in that same basket of goods were also a mattress, linen, crockery for 8 people, and a table tennis table). We had this vision of one of us cycling off in the morning for fresh bread and croissants, or us peddling off with picnic in basket for an afternoon in the sunshine.... Actually, the bikes were used once in our driveway, then abandoned in the garage - it being too hot for riding bikes whenever we were here.
So, for the purposes of this week's topic - they are very tired/tyred.
