Santa Claus is Coming to Town
by Gene Autry
In Italian today, we learned that L'Epifania is a holiday that takes place on January 6th every year and is celebrated pretty similarly to how we celebrate Christmas here in the US. The children hang stockings and expect gifts to be delivered to them if they've been good. However, instead of Santa Claus, an old woman called La Befana brings their gifts. She rides a broomstick and looks like a witch... which of course reminds me of Halloween... but that's why I'm not a blue-eyed, blonde-haired Italian! Italian kids do have it good, though... they get presents on Christmas (Natale) and the Epiphany!
