Heavy Treaded Truck Tires...
Try trotting that off your tongue without tripping.
As a ground shaking photo?...nyeh(wiggles flat hand horizontally) But as an unexpected small item of interest?...Well, let me tell you. We saw them headed east from here on the Trans-Canada highway. My assumption was that they were tired tires bound for recycling and therefore, serendipitous for this week's 2011 Photo Challenge theme, Tired. So, some hurried snaps from the car window. However, since RS happens to be home tonight I asked him where he thought they might be bound. "OH," he observed, "those are explosion containment mats...blast mats, to keep chunks of concrete from flying around during a demolition."
So these tired tires are going to be still more tired before they finally retire. And (just speculating here) someone's old foundation is about to be rocked.
