A Glasgow tenement in my dining room?
Well anything's possible in this house.
I was first attracted to this piece by it's quirkiness and distorted view of the familiar. I like the detail of the disused fireplaces and the old wallpapers in the partly distorted gable ends.
I'm fond of the work of Scottish artists and the work of those who studied at Scottish schools of art.
This piece was created by Noel McKenna, who studied at the Glasgow School of Art.
Noel uses clay slabs then distorts buildings to give them movement and life.
He says his initial inspiration comes from Frank Gehry's buildings.
