Primrose Glory

A welcome sight on a grey January morning....

I stopped by the local Ace Hardware store this morning just as they were opening and setting up the garden racks outside the entrance. Today's special are potted Primrose and they had a variety of nice bright colors on display.

Naturally, I grabbed my camera...

Quite small buds - but some had opened up to the size of a quarter when fully bloomed. This splash of color, albeit slight, in the midst of a wet Pacific Northwest January was a relief from the drudge of our current monochromatic landscape.
