Paris

This is a panic blip! On my way home yesterday I bought a book of maps of Paris because I am obsessed with knowing where I am and I am always having to borrow K's Paris Pratique, so I got my own! It's lovely, I've spent a lot of time looking at it, so I thought I'd take a picture of it. Also included is my bank card and a carnet of metro tickets. The map is open at the page with the Ile de Paris on it - where the Notre Dame is, and the centre of Paris. There is a star in the square in front of the ND which is where all distances to and from Paris are measured - whenever a sign says '45km to Paris', it means 45km to that star. I wonder where the equivalent place is in London. Anybody know?

Today was a Wednesday, which again means the kids were off school. It was actually quite a nice day for once - it can be horrendous - and the middle child and I only had one argument! Amazing.
