Weekend in Brighton

The plan was to get up really early on Saturday, drive for 5 hours to Brighton, get there before lunchtime, book into a splendid B&B, park in the space they had reserved for us, unpack and take a leisurely walk to the pier and meet Emily for lunch.
That was the plan, anyway.

And that is exactly what we did! Unbelieveable.

The journey was fine with no traffic - and considering we took 6 motorways including the M25, it was a minor miracle in itself.
The B&B was a risk. We found it on the internet and it was cheap. The reviews were all glowing, but anyone could have made that up.
Turns out that the reviews were spot on - I think we've stumbled upon the best B&B in Brighton!. The owners were really friendly-even to the point where they insisted that we both take a key in case we got split up when we were out, and even gave us their mobile numbers to ring if we got pissed and couln't find our way back to the Hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast the next day was superb.

After meeting Emily at the appointed time, lunch, tea and supper were taken in a variety of eateries - all of them suberbly tasty.

One of the major reasons for going to Brighton was to see Emily and her new flat. We did that - and very nice it is too.
