horns of wilmington's cow

Unintentional

I wasn't going to give you yet another wildlife blip today, honest I wasn't. I'd thought about doing something with this sign, but that got challenged by a fabulously statuesque mono-legged Grey Heron before this Robin burst into song beside me. At that point the Blue Tit didn't stand a chance!

Spring is springing on the Water of Leith it seems. Oh, and the Kingfisher was about again, but far too distant and branch-ridden for any shots.

Bit of a naff day otherwise. This included a call from the company dealing with trying to let out a couple of floors in this building. I explained that, in the absence of the directors, en route to Oman I believe, with the Edinburgh office closign down I wasn't sure what our parent company would be doing with the building once we vacate. His sympathy at closures and redundancies extended to telling me he'd be happy to pitch for the work if our parent decided to sell the building. Working from home tomorrow, which will hopefully be a bit better.

(the alternative Robin shot was this - hard to separate the two)

Actually, on the work point, and the office closing down to save costs. Two of our directors are, as I said, en route to Oman, having visited Abu Dhabi last week, then they're off to various other places separately to 'reassure' clients. Just wonder how much all the business class flights and hotels are costing. And they haven't even directly told our Singapore guy (pain in the arse that he is he doesn't deserve this) that his office is closing yet, he only knows because he gets sent the minutes of the board meetings.
