page-turner (literally...)

i love the google book search. i really do. it's a tremendous help getting to read a lot of books that i simply cannot get without waiting for at least 2 or 3 weeks. writing my thesis about the 18th century, it opens a whole new world of scanned, copyright-free originals and makes me jump out of my seat because i find a rare book i never thought i could actually get my hands on.

this is a photo of my computer screen that reminded me that behind all my "page-turners" there are ACTUAL page-turners. (in this case at the university of michigan).
