The Bridge Is Back!

The South Street Bridge was in terrible shape for all of the many years I knew it, but finally it was torn down and replaced over a very inconvenient two-year period. Here you see a glimpse of the re-opening festivities, featuring some locals playing Bridge on the bridge. It was a really happy day: finished ahead of schedule and within its intended budget, the thing just seems to sparkle from one side of the Skuylkill River to the other. No complaints were made anywhere in the story.
