Here's what the area to the left of my drawing space looks like. As you can see, there's another drafting table which is currently serving as a catch-all for several things: lamp, teapot, cutting board, ancient CD player, recycled mineral spirits, and a sewing machine hidden behind a paper-filing-rack-turned-oil-painting-drying-rack.
Underneath this is an inexpensive plastic drawer holding watercolor paper/blocks, drawing paper, archived artworks, and experiments/paper scraps.
Off to the right of this is my office supplies, with a clock on top of a smaller plastic shelf containing scissors, paperclips, push pins and the like, with envelopes, cards, and more assorted papers/folders being stored on the two shelves beneath.
Above all this is an old bulletin board with current project info, ribbons, color wheel, color mixing charts, paper sizing/conversion chart, erasing shield, shape templates, dusting brush, and paint tube roller. To the furthest right are metal rulers, illustration board, and a yardstick peeking out from behind the drawer. There's also a baby spider plant that I forgot to move out of the shot, because as many of you know from experience, all sorts of non-work related things end up in one's work area.
