Yes but is it art?
Another lovely awakening by two children while most decent citizens were still somewhere between dreams, well at least the eldest was spared the 'early rise'. So downstairs with number 1 son and #2 for a very tranquil breakfast while others recovered upstairs.
We spent the morning cleaning the house, I find there is something satisfying in cleaning the house, believe it or not. So hoovering, dusting and the usual nonsense as we had a guest this afternoon and it will make the same job next week slightly less immense. Erm too much information.
So I met our friend David who is over from France doing some art project with a Glasgow based artist. We met him in France many years ago and at the time had many laughs together. He has an amazing approach to his work. Our meeting was the typical combination of catching up with news of mutual friends and families, discussing his work, (discussing mine would be like talking about concrete) and the trials of bringing up children. What was nice was that he managed to meet my nephew who is studying art at the Glasgow School of Art, went to an opening night and then onto a concert. Ah cool nephews! I'm sure my nephew says the same about, erm someone else.
