North side of Lomond
Crampons on time.
Beautiful day up Lomond. Walked from Teapot (search it on a mapping site if you don't believe me - its in Stirlingshire) and soon escaped the fog that we had been in since leaving home. Long walk along the road to Comer and then up a lovely ridge, with mainly soft snow, a rocky bit and some consolidated snow patches.
No one about ........ until we hit the summit, then it was weegie land. 4 youngsters arrived up Ptarmigan with no axes and not much in the way of knapsacks. But they did come and gawp when we headed off back down the North side into the corrie.
Loch Lomond, the Forth and the Clyde were cloud covered, Arran poked out, as did the Wallace Monument to the East.
