A Mangled Candle

This is a picture of a candle that my husband managed to completely mangle.
Yet it still burns, albeit with a burnt match as a wick.
Today at Church we had a talk about being a light.
It strikes me that this candle still burns and gives light, even though it has clearly been through the wars.
It seems to me that if a candle can manage this, then so can we manage to keep alight despite all that we go through.
