culinary success
Younger son found a recipe for 'Alaska Surprise' in a book of kitchen chemistry experiments and has spent all week nagging me to help him make it. Finally, here's the result. Looked good tasted good - well, sweet.
He knows he'll have to look for 'Baked Alaska' on the menu if he wants it in a restaurant.
Alternative photos for today included an ancient, wrinkled but beautiful pomegranate; a forlorn long-broken golf club on the shore near Gullane; a seagull corpse (honestly, it was amazing to see from a forensic point of view, but rather bleak; dull views of Fidra and the Bass Rock.
