The Sint-Rombouts tower's carillon

We visited Mechelen today with friends. Mechelen's landmark, the Sint-Rombouts tower, is easily recogisable from far away. The tower is 97 meters high and has 538 steps to reach the top. I am happy to report that we did reach the top of the tower! :)

On the way to the top we passed the clocks of the tower. The Sint-Rombouts tower is the only tower in Belgium with two different carillons. Together these carillons have 98 bells.
