Gunrow Signal Station
Lying just off the coast path, about seven miles SE of Plymouth, is this disused building. It was constructed as a look-out point in the 1790s, in response to the threat of invasion by Napoleon's French forces. These days it provides a welcome refuge from those caught out in a deluge, or those needing a wind break while resorting to a flask of tea.
