Standing!

This is the baby walker my sister's kids used and they generously brought it up for baby42 last weekend. She's not mastered walking with it yet, although she is thinking about it and makes some hesitant steps. It won't be too long me thinks.

Something about her standing up makes her seem a lot more grown up all of a sudden. Crawling is still the transport de jour, but she's pulling herself onto her knees and one foot all the time. Not quite strong enough to pull herself to standing except occasionally or with some help. But once up she's quite steady for a wee minute before she starts dancing like Shakin' Stevens.

She also seems to like standing but hanging on with one hand and then swapping hands ... looks like she wants to try no hands but she's just not steady enough.

Baby42's cold has turned into a family cold (although its not too bad we've definitely all got it).

Tea and cake must be the answer, so we'll have some later!
