Academic superstars

I am uploading a few days late. So the minutiae of today totally escapes me.

I did go out this evening to an interesting, thought-provoking and entertaining evening.

Several years ago, when we were just beginning to realise that most of us would end up with t'internet at home, I had a pal who reckoned that the stars of the future would be academics. He surmised that with the internet, these guys would be able to reach a much wider audience. And it was an audience that would be desperate for information and knowledge. I think he was right.
