Milk Cup Nursery

I went to a potters' village in West Delhi today. It was hard to decide which photo to blip. The rest are here. I loved seeing the birth of these red clay milk cups. These have just been made and are drying before being fired. You see them at all of the milk and lassi street vendors. When finished consuming your milk, you smash the cup on the street and it returns to dust. Unfortunately many people do the same thing with their plastic cups.. which of course do not return to dust.
