Annie and Bomble

We are going to Rodborough's Prince Albert pub tonight to see Peter Bruntnell play, and it is free! I rang the pub this morning to double-check and Miles, the landlord, confirmed it! He and Lottie have run the pub for many years and gradually built it into one of the very best pubs in Stroud. They have based it on their friendly service, excellent beer, good atmosphere with music and poetry for local people. Musicians seem to love playing there too as they often come back.

Instead of trying a blip there I thought I would try photographing my great friend Annie, as she practised her new computer skills, which I have been showing her. She is a wonderful artist specialising in pastel paintings of horses, and she uses photos as a reminder to stimulate her imagination.

We have been friends since 1975, but now lives near Newport in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. She popped over for a couple of hours both yesterday and today, whilst here in Stroud to see her son, grandsons and great-grandson, and her friends.

Bomble came in to join us from his quick inspection of the garden, following his regular daytime kip. He always seems to like being around when I Blip, as you may have noticed. Today he went from my lap to Annie, who is a magnet for animals, but he didn't appear to be very interested in iPhoto. While I have been typing here, he has been sitting on the keyboard, but didn't know what to write. I don't think I have what it takes to teach him too. All I can do is feed him, and give him a cuddle and lots of loving.
