#BGBW - Only A Week Early!

Spent today relaxing and garden birding. Managed to break our record for the number of species seen here in one day. It's now 24!!

The highlights were the Fieldfares and a single Redwing that settled in our trees on and off all day - and a flock of 12 Waxwing that stayed for ten minutes at lunch time.

Couldn't get close enough to get a really good blip - but this will do. Both a Year Tick and Garden Year Tick, taking me to 73 and 28 respectively.

Shame this didn't happen next weekend, to coincide with the RSPB's Big Garden Bird Watch. On the 29th and 30th, as with every previous year, birds will boycott our garden on principle, laughing at me from behind Mike and Jan's hedge.
