Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland......

....Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and most of Lincolnshire. Ok, so East Midlands is quicker, but the county names are so much more interesting. It's like the time Clackmannanshire was absorbed into Central Region.....'Central' for fucks sake! Must have taken them literally minutes to think that one up.

Anyway, spent a good portion of my day in Leicester and its shire, and Kettering and the shire of Northampton. Good clients; know what they want, are reasonable in their needs and their timescales are sensible. Good end to the week.

Afternoon flight home to the Inspiring Capital and then out again for the start of the new term of Scouts. Plans for summer camp in Switzerland are moving along well, but the central 'powers that be' who only exist to ensure the kids are happy and safe in Scouting have lost sight of who is important(the kids) and are making things difficult for us to organise the camp by changing some funding rules at the 11th hour (actually 11.59pm to be precise).....silly me, I thought they existed to help me provide an interesting and exciting programme........
