fruit of life
Andrew loves pomegranates and he torn into one today - not a first date fruit for sure, or to be eaten while wearing white - thank goodness, for all of us, none of those restrictions apply to my Andrew.
Homeschooling my boy puts total accountability on us - not just in this studies, but how he studies, how he learns and the attitude he bring to life. We see everything and there is no school, no system, or any teacher to blame for the inconsistency - we are the not only his keepers but his witnesses and overcoming my own personal hurdles to help him reach his potential is a gigantic challenge. Regardless of my pure intentions, I know I fail often. I take my job very seriously but am seeing that sometimes my loving and helping gets in the way of his independence, growth and pride of ownership. I have tried to get out of the way this week and as a result had to dish out some consequences today (I hate that) and there were tears (I hate that too)....but as I try to keep a bird's eye view of it all - I would rather have tears now (and a pit in my stomach) and see him truly thriving later... enjoying the many fruits of life....
Thanks for you comments about yesterday's blip - passed on all the well wishes to my boy - he thought all those nice comments were very cool :) Have a great Friday!!!!
