Staying Warm
Living on a small, remote Scottish island is certainly not warm. Not in mid January anyway. The waves crash around us, the wind blows through the various cracks in the old buildings and heat does not stay in (because of afore mentioned cracks!) so it is important to find other ways to stay warm. Here you see my fingerless gloves, newly given to me by a dear friend, hand made in New Zealand. They are excellent. Not only are they warm, but I can wear them whilst at work and am still able to move my fingers!
Some other ways of staying warm in Iona Abbey:
Forcing duvets in to black sacks
Hanging laundry in the drying room
Doing the greasy dishes after dinner
Hugging amazing friends and adopted family
Taking a long, well deserved shower
Sitting in bed under your duvet, in your jammies, blipping :)
