Something for the boys

Something which kept boys of my generation happy for hours came from here - kneeling down and fiddling about.......

Langton Green sits on the A264 west of Royal Tunbridge Wells and this magnificent sign is next to The Hare public house, on the corner of The Green. It's a nadgery bit of road on the scenic route to work - from here I go another mile or so before the road cuts right past Fordcombe and Ashurst and Holtye to East Grinstead - that's a wonderful road with sweeping bends and superb views. I've blipped Holtye Golf Club and Ashurst Church already and there is a wealth of other potential blips (but stopping in some spots is trickier than a tricky thing).

And what came from here that kept us rapt? Subbuteo! It was made here in the early years.
