Sunset, with birds (yes, they are there......)

Dimairt and I went along the shore in Melvaig, just as the sun was setting. I came across loads of birds as we walked along. As soon as I got my camera out, they disappeared.

I was quite determined to get one of them in the shot, so sat down on a rock and waited. Dimairt was quite content as long as I kept throwing sticks.

This shot is a photo of the only birds which appeared. Of course, they did so just as I switched the camera off and put it in the case. Fumbling with cold fingers to get the camera out, I am quite pleased I managed a shot at all.
