Soot
This is one of my sister's two black cats - they are called Sasha and Suie - both meaning 'Soot' in various languages. It's quite handy really as no-one can tell them apart so I just call them both Soot.
It's a sad tale as when they first got the cats, they were their babies and they were 'inside' cats. Then they had my nieces and nephew. Now the cats don't go inside, they're a bit ferral, and they have a "Kennel" in the garage. This one smooched up to me in the garden and we gave her a saucer of milk.
I know my Dad gives them pats and stuff when he's around there. They're not mistreated, just kind of left to their own devices. They stick around though, I guess they know where the food comes from.
Quite cute looking but I don't trust them not to bite or scratch if they get the urge. To be fair, they were always that way inclined!
Can't believe I've posted a photo of a cat - Cousteau will be most unimpressed!
