Cool

Back down to -4 c again this morning. That was the outside temperature. The inside temperature I don't think was actually much different because the heating decided to have a breakdown during the night. Consequently my first forays into the bathroom were a shock to the system.

What is it with boilers?

As I walked down towards the tow-path this morning I caught a glimpse through the trees of a solitary young fisherman placing a huge fish gently back into the water. A moment sooner and I would have captured him. I have never seen anyone catch anything so big on the canal. And I was pleased to see the fish returned to the Leeds Liverpoool, tempting though it must have been for the fisherman to take him home.
