Science Prep rooms (The unspoken rules)

The rules are strict and laid down over many generations (take with a pinch of salt!):

1. It's the technicians' domain - enter at your peril.

2. Requests for chemicals will always be met with the same look i.e. Are you stark raving, headspinningly, mad?

3. The order of the prep room Gratnell trays is known only to the technicians - things that will logically go together never appear together!

4.Some drawers are never opened.

5.The technicians will always help if they can - initial responses that make the request seem impossible only increase the joy when, voila! the request is fulfilled!

6. Technicians consume coffee in litre volumes.

7. The prep room is the hub of the science department.

8. The prep room is what makes science different from the other departments.

9. We don't appreciate the science technicians enough - will remedy that today!

10. As the rules are unwritten you only find out you've broken them once you have broken them!
