Escapee

I went out today to pick my strawberries. They live under a frame that is covered in birdproof netting to keep them for my mouth rather than the mouths of the starlings and thrushes who are rather partial to them. This strawberry is clearly a risk taker and has poked itself through the netting to grow and ripen. It has somehow escaped the notice of the birds - but not of me. Yum!
