high tide

By the time we got back to the van it was in the sea. All four wheels but only a few centimetres deep. By Friday apparently high tide will be another 400 millimetres higher. Timing our beach walk for high tide means walking in the water or being confined to the dunes where the pine trees grow.

The setters never stick to the dunes and I'm quite fond of a paddle myself.
