Great Crane

We had to drive down to Stockton today so called in to WWT Washington en route. They had some beautiful, exotic ducks and geese that were very tame and very photogenic, and some Shelduck and Lapwings on the water that all posed for a photo. In the end though I chose this Great Crane, part of the WWT programme to re-introduce this striking bird back into the wild in Britain.
