Private not public.

Another pub closes down and becomes a private house.

I'm particularly sad about the closure of The Elm Tree in Devizes because, just a few years ago, it was a great place to go for a fabulous pizza. Tino, the landlord, produced a great menu of pizzas and pasta dishes all served up with pizzazz and parmesan. (too much alliteration, Ed.)

Tino moved on from The Elm Tree. First to be guest pizza maker at the famous Bear Inn in Devizes and then sadly he succumbed to cancer and died, age 56.

The Elm Tree didn't fare well under a new landlord and it closed.

The building was an inn in the 16th century and was mentioned as the Salutation Inn around the mid 17th century. Alas no more.
