Alarming

We had a fire alarm go off in the office complex Monday. Turns out it was a ruptured sprinkler line in the adjacent tower ... messy, but no danger.

What struck me was how long it took to evacuate the building. It took at least 5 minutes just to clear out floor
People just had to finish typing that last email, finish clipping their toenails, brew a pot of coffee ... afterall, it's cold outside.

Children at schools do much better!

... and then there were the people who kept entering the building, ignoring the blaring alarm to visit the automated teller located on the main floor.

Probably a good thing there was no real fire!
