Waiting to boiling point

This sign played mind games with the man next to me in the waiting room, after 3hr 45mins his face was as red as a London bus and, as time wore on, he began to stare intently at it. As we were in the eye clinic, I feared his remaining eye would shut down leaving him blinded.
