Hamilton Townhouse

Architecture again, and this one is a bit of a hidden gem.

I had business here today and decided to Blip it as it will also be a useful reference point for me if I need to check back what date I was here.

The Townhouse was built in various stages, the first part being opened by Andrew Carnegie.

It is an 'A listed' building.

In 2002 it underwent a massive regeneration project, costing £9 million. The project also involved the sensitive conservation and restoration of a number of original features within the complex including ornate wall panelling, stained glass windows and ornate cornice and plaster features. It has won a number of awards.
