Male Pheasant

Doesn't he look simply wonderful. I had to take this through the patio door window this morning, because I knew that he would run a mile if I attempted to go outside.

I do love the wonderful colours in these beautiful creatures. I am sure he knew that he was safe because he just kept on standing and performing for me. I caught him with his eyes closed, when he was looking to the left and then to the right. But this capture I really like. You can actually see the drops of rain on the ends of the catkins on the corkscrew hazel tree.
