The first jar

It's Seville season and I have spent all morning making a batch of marmalade. It is very labour intensive but extremely satisfying. I love to see my shelves stacked with preserves. It's only marmalade at this time of year but a good way to spend time in the kitchen in January. Actually not a bad day today. Hope the brighter weather hangs on for a couple of days, I'm off in the direction of Derby in an hour to see my daughter. Must remember to take a jar of marmalade!
