Bird Feeding Station

This bird in flight addiction is starting to set in.
Caught this feeding station during my afternoon walk in the neighborhood. Everytime I hear birds chirping I find myself getting ready to catch them like a predator.
It is both fascinating and exciting to catch birds in flight. Because their wings flutter so fast, it is important to catch it at the right moment. Of course it now helps that the EOS Canon 7D can do a burst of 8 frames per second, the shutter speed goes up to 1/8000 and the ISO can be pushed to 6400 when there is not enough light. That leaves a lot of room to play with.
The burst also comes in handy for portraits in order to catch the right eye opening or exact smile.
