Our Village

This is the first of a series of blips of our village, this one being taken from just up the lane from the Mas, which is catalan for a finca i.e. a small dwelling on the land.

We are now living in our house in the village, returning to the Mas each afternoon to walk the dog, tend the vegetable plot and use the internet. Yesterday we arranged for an engineer to put phone and internet access into the village house, but that won't be for a couple of weeks.

Our village is typical, being Medieval in origin, sited on a hill and with narrow streets. The church you can see in the photo is the Capella, built on the site of a Moorish tower from which it is believed the village derives its name.
