Bonjour Monsieur Hockney
Outside the front entrance to the Orangerie in the Tuilleries stands a bronze of Rodin's Le Baiser (The Kiss).
A man was climbing inside the space between the lovers and taking close up photos of every nook and cranny of the statue. I thought it slightly odd behaviour, maybe, so I took a couple of photos of him.
It was only later when I looked at the photos I'd taken - and zoomed in on them - that I realised it was David Hockney.
And I didn't say "Bonjour" to him. Damn.
