Assignment 3
Perhaps the most difficult part of teaching English is writing. I devised a system of marking where grammar and punctuation are given a back seat to creativity and ideas. It's not a perfect marking system (none are), but I believe it helps to motivate weaker students to write more freely, and stop stronger students from waffling on paper by writing as if they're having an informal conversation with a friend.
This particular student belongs in the latter category. I always try to mark in a useful way so that they understand what they have to do to improve, but it's a very inexact science, and one that I'm yet to master.
I tend to pounce on references to God though.
